KUCHING: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap received a courtesy call from community leaders to discuss on unresolved issues and problems.
“The courtesy call by Pemanca John Tambi and Penghulu Jakup Buan was to discuss unresolved issues and problems in Bumiputera villages within the Kota Sentosa constituency in the past 15 years,” he said on Tuesday (April 12).
Yap assured that as the newly elected local representative, he would progressively resolve .the requests for assistance systematically based on urgency.
“I am not a superman, but I will do my best for the people,” he said.
On a separate event, Yap went to Kota Sentosa Ramadan Bazaar to witness the handing over of 10 canopies by Kapitan Lee Tho Fung of the village security and development committee (JKKK) of Kota Sentosa Batu 7 to Persatuan Peniaga dan Penjaja Sarawak.
“This is to urgently replace canopies which were destroyed by strong winds. The welfare of hawkers and their customers is always a priority for us,” he added.
