MIRI: Patrons to bistros, pubs and eateries have been reminded to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah said those who fail to follow the SOPs are at risk of being issued with compounds.

“During a police check at bistros and pubs on Thursday night, for example, we issued seven compounds to those flouting the SOPs,” said Lim at a press conference held at Miri Central Police Station (CPS) today.

Recently, during police checks at pubs in Permyjaya, a total 16 compounds were issued.

“Do not go about aimlessly and comply with the SOPs,” he advised.
