KUCHING: Despite facing significant logistical challenges, including transporting over 113kgs of concert equipment and merchandise from Peninsular Malaysia to Sarawak, the organisers of the Nidji Pelangi in Kuching Concert 2025 successfully pulled off the event on Saturday.

Ahead of Nidji’s highly anticipated performance, we spoke to fans who shared their excitement, hopes and thoughts about attending the concert for the very first time.
Shaliza, 27, Kuching:

I’m feeling both nervous and thrilled, as it’s my first time attending a Nidji concert. Moreover, I’m proud to be a Sarawakian because our state government has contributed to making concerts like this happen here in Kuching. It’s definitely something we can all be proud of. I’m really looking forward to hearing ‘Sumpah dan Cinta Matiku’ live, and I hope the crowd tonight will be full of energy!
Darren, 27, Kuching:
I’m truly eager to see what Nidji will bring to the stage tonight. Furthermore, it’s a great initiative by our government to support events like this, giving the younger generation more opportunities to experience live concerts and be exposed to different cultures especially since we’re welcoming an artist from Indonesia. Hopefully, we’ll get to see even more international artistes here in the future. Personally, I’m most looking forward to hearing ‘Sumpah Dan Cinta Matiku’ and ‘Hapus Aku’.
Putri Nea Kasih, 23, Bintulu:

I’m overjoyed to be here tonight! As this is my first time attending a Nidji concert, I hope to have so much fun. In particular, I’m really looking forward to hearing ‘Hapus Aku’ and ‘Bila Aku Jatuh Cinta’ performed live.
Qi, 21, Miri:

I’m ecstatic and can’t wait to go all out tonight! Being a huge Nidji fan, attending their concert for the first time feels incredibly special. Additionally, I truly hope the Sarawak government continues to support events like this. I also believe that this could spark a new trend in our local entertainment scene, allowing more people to experience live music without having to travel to other states or countries. Tonight, I’m especially excited to hear ‘Biarlah’ performed live!
With more concerts featuring big names like Dewa 19 and Ungu already being planned, Sarawak appears set to become a vibrant hub for live music and cultural activities.
