In 1997, she graduated from the Singapore Nanyang Academy of Arts, majoring in both piano and classical singing under the guidance of Jennifer Chew and Zhou Ming Lun.

Wendy taught and performed both locally and overseas after she graduated, making numerous appearances with the SONS symphony orchestra under the baton of Datuk Marcus Leong and No Black Tie.
