BAU: Construction of the new Bau District Education Office (PPD) officially began following the handover of the RM22.65-million project site by the Sarawak Public Works Department (PWD) to the appointed contractor.

The project, which is scheduled for completion in February 2028, is being developed on a 6.76-acre site at Lot 1149, Block 9, Senggi-Poak Land District.

According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), the new Bau PPD complex will include administrative facilities and supporting infrastructure to enhance education management and services in the Bau district.

The project involves building works on both low-lying and elevated terrain, including piling works, construction of the main building and supporting facilities, as well as essential mechanical, electrical and infrastructure systems.

Once completed, the facility is expected to support the operational needs of the PPD and improve service delivery to schools in the district.
