SIBU: The people of Sibu are urged to stay safe and follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to break the chain of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Even though the number of Covid-19 positive cases in Kuching has decreased, we still have to practise the new norms and follow the SOPs as well as be watchful for any symptoms,” said chairman of Sibu Municipal Council (SMC), Clarence Ting today.

Ting added that sometimes, the mild symptoms may not bother the infected individuals so much, but the disease could spread to their loved ones.

“If you have to drive a family member who has the symptom to hospital for medication attention, remember to put on a face mask and do not switch on the car air-con, but wind down the car window,” he said.
