BAU: Established development agencies are encouraged to continue backing the Sarawak government’s aspirations to help the people achieve higher incomes by 2030.

Deputy Minister for Transport II (Riverine and Marine), Datuk Henry Harry Jinep emphasised that their cooperation with the government is crucial so that every planned development can be carried out, thus achieving the goal of advancing the people, communities, and regions.

“The development agencies such as the Greater Kuching Development Coordination Agency (GKCDA) and the Greater Bau Development Master Plan have outlined various infrastructure development projects to support various economic activities for the people.

“These agencies aimed at increasing income in line with the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030),” he said.

He said this while speaking at the Bisingai Townhall 2025 organised by the Association of Research and Development Movement of Singai (REDEEMS) here on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Henry who is also the Tasik Biru assemblyman highlighted the need for skilled human resources in Sarawak, where the Sarawak government is now focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education.

In this regard, to realise this effort, Sarawak now has four universities focusing on this stream, which will offer free education to Sarawak’s children starting next year.
