BAU: Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 30-year-old man in Kampung Skio this morning, though initial assessment indicates no foul play.

Bau Police Chief, Supt Mohd Haide A. Rahman, said police were alerted of the incident by the victim’s father at around 7:45 am.

Earlier, the father had stepped outside to wash clothes when he noticed his son motionless in the front compound of the house.

“Paramedics from Bau Hospital confirmed the victim dead at the scene, and preliminary checks found no signs of suspicious injuries.

“The victim, who reportedly had a history of medical and mental health issues, had last sought treatment in July last year and had not gotten any follow-up treatment,” he said.

Haide added that the body has been taken to Bau Hospital for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.

Police have recorded witness statements and documented the scene as part of ongoing investigation.
