KUCHING: Police are questioning a jobless woman in connection with Monday’s brazen armed robbery at a shopping mall in Matang near here.

This brings the number of suspects to two following the arrest of a 30-year-old man in Sejingkat on the same day of the crime.

The female suspect, 26, from Mukah was picked up from a house in Taman Bako Indah on Tuesday.

In the house were several items related to the robbery such as a motorcycle helmet, a pair of shoes and a long-sleeve shirt, as well as five cellphones believed to be the loot.

On Monday, the man, who was armed with a knife, robbed a cellphone shop in full view of
mall-goers.

Investigation later showed that he had a list of criminal offences, including housebreaking, theft, criminal intimidation, causing hurt and armed robbery.
