KUCHING: Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC), the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) and the Development Bank of Sarawak (DBOS) presented RM10,000 contributions to two welfare homes during a special iftar event with Premier Sarawak on Tuesday (Mar 10).
The contributions were handed over to Kompleks Kebajikan Laila Taib (PERYATIM) and Rumah Kanak-Kanak Toh Puan Hajah Norkiah as part of the organisations’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at supporting the welfare and operational needs of the homes.
The presentation took place during the ‘Majlis Berbuka Puasa Bersama Yang Amat Berhormat Premier Sarawak’ held at The Waterfront Hotel.
The event was graced by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

A total of 40 children, 20 from each home were also treated to a special iftar banquet, reflecting the spirit of generosity, inclusivity and togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan.
More than 400 guests attended the gathering, which strengthened ties among government leaders, board members, corporate stakeholders, strategic partners and staff.
The evening concluded with congregational prayers, including Maghrib, Isyak and Tarawih.
Among those present were SDEC chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, SDEC chief executive officer Datuk Sudarnoto Osman, CENTEXS chief executive officer Datuk Syeed Mohd Hussien Wan Abd Rahman and DBOS chief executive officer Datuk Laura Lee Ngien Hion.
The initiative reflects the continued commitment of SDEC, CENTEXS and DBOS towards inclusive development and community upliftment while promoting compassion and social responsibility.
