SIMANGGANG: Andy Roy Junran and Angelin Kibin were laid to rest today (Jan 18), with their children, family, and friends present to pay their last respects.
The ceremony began around 8.00 am with prayers led by VLC Church Sri Aman, followed by a last respects ceremony by the victims’ relatives and friends.
The funeral procession then moved to VLC Memorial Park Cemetery in Sutong, Sri Aman, where a final prayer service was held before the coffins were lowered.
Around 200 relatives and friends attended the ceremony. The couple is survived by three children, aged nine, 16, and 17.


Andy, a primary school headmaster, and Angelin, a nurse, were found dead at their home on Jan 14.
Sri Aman District Police Headquarters (IPD) were alerted to the incident at 6.55 am, prompting officers and paramedics from Sri Aman Hospital to be dispatched to the scene.
Initial examinations confirmed that both victims had died on the spot due to severe injuries. The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
