MIRI: Curtin University Malaysia has once again been named among the nation’s most employable institutions, securing the Employers’ Choice Award 2025 for the third year running.
The recognition comes via the National Graduate Employability Index (GE Index), a comprehensive survey led by Talentbank in collaboration with major employers, including PETRONAS, Maybank and Nestlé.
The award was presented during a ceremony held at EQ Kuala Lumpur on April 23, in conjunction with the Talentbank Raya Open House officiated by Higher Education Deputy Minister, Datuk Ts. Mustapha Sakmud.
Receiving the accolade on behalf of Curtin Malaysia was interim Pro Vice-Chancellor, President and Chief Executive, Professor Vincent Lee.
The award was handed over by General Manager of Human Capital Investment at PETRONAS, Ahmad Munir Akram Ahmad Faiz.
“This award reflects the industry’s confidence in our graduates,” said Lee.
“To be recognised three years in a row demonstrates that our students not only excel academically but also prove their value in the workplace.
“It’s a testament to our focus on industry-relevant education and strong practical learning,” he added.
The university continues to outperform national averages in the GE Index since its inception in 2023.
This year, Curtin Malaysia maintained its top standing in Chemical Engineering, and added a new win in Occupational Safety and Health, highlighting its growing cross-sectoral influence.
Beyond prestige, the award strengthens Curtin Malaysia’s standing with top-tier employers, boosts industry partnerships, and grants exclusive access to Talentbank’s vast recruitment network.
The network’s advantages provide broader career opportunities for its graduates.
For prospective students and parents, the Employers’ Choice Award serves as a clear signal that a degree from Curtin Malaysia offers not just academic merit, but a competitive edge in today’s dynamic job market.
