DARO: Daro Festival 2020 which has been scheduled to be held here from March 27 to April 5 has been postponed to a later date following the growing number of Covid-19 cases in the country.
Organising chairman and Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad in a statement yesterday said the postponement was an order from Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) which was issued on March 13.
The event organising committee has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Safiee hoped that the Covid-19 pandemic would be overcome soon.
