SIBU: Masjid Darul Firdaus of Jalan Apollo, in collaboration with the Apollo Deshon Neighbourhood Watch Area (KRT) here, successfully organised the ‘Majlis Santun Budi’ as a gesture of appreciation, and the closing ceremony for the service term of the Committee Members of Masjid Darul Firdaus and KRT Apollo Deshon recently.
The event, held at the multi-purpose hall of the mosque, was officiated by the chairman of Masjid Darul Firdaus, Rosli Suhaili, who commended the dedication and commitment shown by the committee members throughout their term of service in strengthening the mosque’s role and fostering community harmony.
During the event, a symbolic handover of contribution comprising 10 units of air conditioners for the mosque’s multipurpose hall was also held.
The contribution was presented by Kapitan Lau Sie Kwong to Rosli on behalf of the Pelawan state assemblyman, Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee, who is also Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing, Health and Local Government.
In addition, tokens of appreciation were also presented to the mosque’s outgoing committee members in recognition of their service and dedication.
The event reflected a strong spirit of cooperation, mutual respect and continued commitment among community stakeholders in efforts to strengthen the mosque institution and maintain harmony within the local community.
