KUCHING: Long after the last float passed and the crowd dispersed, it was the unseen efforts of cleaning crews that returned Kuching Street Parade’s route to its spotless condition.
Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) hailed these workers as the city’s unsung heroes for working tirelessly through the night to restore Kuching’s cleanliness and beauty after the event last Saturday.
“Your commitment and sincerity in maintaining the cleanliness of Kuching not only reflect a shared responsibility but also demonstrate love for the city.
“You are the heroes who may not stand in the spotlight, yet your contributions remain etched in the hearts of every resident,” said DBKU in a statement.
According to the council, the efforts of the cleaning teams gave Kuching a fresh face once more, making it a comfortable, clean, and safe place for the public.
“To our nameless heroes, your light brightens the darkest corners and makes Kuching a city full of hope.
“We deeply appreciate every drop of sweat and every effort poured into this beloved city,” DBKU said.
DBKU also urged Kuching residents to emulate the same spirit of responsibility by keeping public spaces clean and preserving the city’s image.
