KUCHING: With the year-end school holidays drawing to a close, parents and children are encouraged to make the most of the remaining break at Perpustakaan Bandaraya DBKU, which is hosting a series of creative and educational activities at its premises in Majma Mall here.

The school holiday programme, which began in Dec, continues this week with several hands-on and recreational activities aimed at keeping children engaged while encouraging creativity, learning and positive social interaction.

Activities taking place today (Jan 6)  include a DIY Stick session and a Word Search competition, providing children with opportunities to explore their creativity while sharpening problem-solving skills.

The programme will conclude tomorrow (Jan 7) with a series of light-hearted activities, including balloon stomping, a movie screening and a 3D puzzle challenge.

DBKU said the initiative is part of its efforts to provide a safe, meaningful and enjoyable environment for children during the school holidays, while also promoting interest in reading and greater use of public library facilities.

Parents are encouraged to allow their children to take part in the supervised activities, while also taking the opportunity to explore the library’s collection, which offers a wide range of books available for reading and borrowing.

Registration for the activities can be done via the QR code provided in the promotional materials.

For further enquiries, the public may contact 082-507403 or 082-507099, or email library@dbku.gov.my.
