KUCHING: Delegates at Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) 16th Triennial General Meeting or PBB Convention expressed confidence in the party’s leadership while outlining their hopes for Sarawak’s progress.
They expressed hopes for more improvement, particularly in the areas of the economy, infrastructure and in the roles of women and youth so that they could contribute to the development of the state.
Here, some of the delegates shared their views with Sarawak Tribune.

PBB Kakus Division Women’s Chief,
Rohana @ Josephine Abdullah

We can see the economic progress brought by the Premier. The economy of Sarawak, in particular, has seen significant improvements. In addition, AirBorneo, the new airline, is expected to bring benefits to us. We don’t expect drastically cheaper fares but we hope this airline will offer services that truly benefit Sarawak. We also hope PBB remains strong and stands tall as a leading party in Sarawak, capable of propelling the state forward.
PBB Baleh Division member,
Connie Edmund Jugah
With the opportunity to recruit more youth, we can work towards a brighter future for them, particularly for the Bumiputera. It is crucial for the new generation of leaders, the youth, to actively contribute to the continued development of Sarawak. In my area, we hope for better roads and more facilities for the community. We hope to have more schools, vocational institutions and colleges to provide the necessary skills and education for the future.
PBB Bukit Goram Youth Supreme Council member, Douglas Chupong Jefferson Jamit

We hope PBB continues to serve the people and lead Sarawak to greater heights. We must work together and ensure that more young people are groomed to take up leadership roles. PBB and GPS are among the best examples of leadership, offering benefits and trust to the people in terms of development, socio-economics and much more.

PBB Tamin Division Women member,
Regina Kilat
Under the current leadership of the Premier of Sarawak, many changes have occurred. More assistance is being provided, including electricity, water supply, and longhouses in Selangau are receiving more incentives and support. No one is left behind.
We hope PBB will continue to develop the state like Japan and to achieve the 2030 vision.
