MIRI: Demanlink Connexion Sdn Bhd (Demanlink), a Sarawak-based telecommunications infrastructure company, has successfully deployed its first site in the state — an In-Building Coverage (IBC) solution at One Shell Square Miri (OSSM), the new headquarters for Shell Malaysia Upstream.
Located at Miri Times Square, the IBC solution is equipped with 109 state-of-the-art, 5G-ready antennas, ensuring comprehensive coverage throughout the 13-storey building.
In a statement, Demanlink noted that the solution enhances mobile connectivity and increases capacity within the corporate office, enabling faster, more reliable connections.
“This deployment is designed to provide seamless mobile services with higher internet speeds, increased bandwidth, and improved reach — essential for uninterrupted communication and productivity in today’s data-intensive business environment,” it said.
Demanlink Chief Executive Officer Hanad Yusuf described the completion of the company’s first IBC solution in Sarawak as a significant milestone, marking its first site deployment since officially launching operations in the state last month.
“We are honoured to have the opportunity to support Pantai Bayu Indah, the developer of One Shell Square Miri, in its ongoing efforts to create conducive, digitally enabled working environments that enhance productivity and efficiency,” he said.
“This installation meets the growing demand for reliable, high-speed connectivity and reflects our commitment to providing businesses and communities with future-ready infrastructure.
“With this technology in place, OSSM’s tenants and visitors can expect enhanced mobile experiences that boost operational efficiency and productivity,” he said.
He added that as Sarawak embarks on its journey to realise its economic growth ambitions, technology plays a pivotal enabling role.
“Reliable, high-speed connectivity and efficient communication systems are essential. By deploying future-ready infrastructure like the IBC solution at OSSM, Demanlink ensures that businesses in Sarawak are equipped to meet the increasing demand for seamless digital connectivity.
“This aligns with the state’s goal of supporting infrastructure projects that address present needs while remaining scalable for future growth, ultimately empowering businesses and communities across Sarawak,” he said.
Meanwhile, Pantai Bayu Indah Chief Operating Officer Liew Swee Choong highlighted that their collaboration with Demanlink enabled the deployment of a customised, state-of-the-art IBC solution, positioning OSSM as a premier business location.
“Our goal is to provide top-tier office spaces with excellent amenities and advanced technology infrastructure characteristic of premium Grade A offices.
“In today’s highly connected, fast-paced work environment, high-speed internet and cutting-edge communication systems are critical. We are confident that OSSM is well-equipped to offer a superior work environment that meets the modern business needs of multinational corporations such as SSB,” he said.
He further said that the installation not only enhances the building’s value for tenants but also reflects Pantai Bayu Indah’s dedication to integrating the latest technology into its developments.
“We are proud to have designed and built OSSM as both a cutting-edge corporate hub and Miri’s latest landmark green building, incorporating sustainable features.
“This IBC installation underscores Demanlink’s commitment to empowering Sarawak with essential infrastructure that drives innovation and meets the growing demand for high-speed mobile connectivity.
“We look forward to contributing to the state’s digital transformation journey by providing reliable, high-quality connectivity to communities such as OSSM,” he said.
