KUCHING: The De’Oldboys Monthly Medal competition came to a thrilling conclusion, with participants showcasing impressive skills in pickleball last Saturday (Feb 1).

The tournament saw 40 players battling it out for top honours, with the champions taking home cash prizes, medals, and hampers.

In a remarkable display of teamwork and precision, Ismail and Nurhadzmi emerged as the champions of the day, securing the top spot and RM300 in prize money, along with a medal and a hamper.

Their victory added another milestone in the local pickleball community.

Khairel Azmie and Awang Afizan claimed the runner-up position, earning RM200, medals, and hampers for their efforts.

The duo put up a strong fight throughout the event, making it to the final stages and earning their place on the podium.

The joint third place was awarded to a pair of teams, Ikmal and Faiz as well as Abang Bikusary and Shamsuri Osman, who each received medals and souvenirs for their excellent performances.

The event held at the KSK Pickleball Court in Satok saw a great turnout of 40 participants, further solidifying the De’Oldboys Monthly Medal as an attractive pickleball tournament.

With competitive spirit and sportsmanship on full display, the tournament was met with fantastic success, with players already looking forward to the next series.

Looking ahead, the next De’Oldboys Monthly Medal 2.0 tournament is scheduled to take place after Hari Raya Aidilfitri, offering another exciting opportunity for pickleball enthusiasts to showcase their skills.
