KUCHING: A total of 150 people attended the Integrity Day celebration organised by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) at Riverside Majestic Hotel here recently.
The event also marked the launch of the Mid-Term Review Booklet for DID Sarawak 2021-2025.
“Integrity Day at DID Sarawak serves as a demonstration of the department’s unwavering commitment to enhancing awareness, understanding, and the embodiment of integrity among its members,” DID said in a press release.
DID then stated the celebration underscored the collective commitment to integrity within DID Sarawak and the wider governmental context, with a focus on transparency, accountability, and ethical governance.
“This event served as a platform for fostering a culture of integrity and ensuring public trust in government institutions.
“It reaffirms the state’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct in public service,” it added.
The programme was graced by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian, with Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee and director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Datuk Mohd Zaki Hassan among the distinguished guests.
