Deputy IGP inspects security facilities along Sarawak-Kalimantan boundary

SERIAN: Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, continued his official working visit to Sarawak with a series of inspections at border control and security facilities in Serian and Padawan today (Feb 12).

The visit began at ‘Op Taring Awas Bunan Gega’ Post, where he received a briefing from field commanders on operational deployment and current border monitoring arrangements.

He later proceeded to the Forward Operating Base (FOB) ‘Op Taring Batas Mongkos’ to review enforcement coordination and ground preparedness along the Sarawak-Kalimantan boundary.

Ayob Khan subsequently inspected facilities at the Tebedu Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex before visiting the Entikong Border Crossing Complex (PLBN) on the Indonesian side.

He later engaged with personnel on duty and was briefed on their operational responsibilities at the border facilities.

The visit concluded at ‘Pos Op Taring Batas Sibakar’ in Padawan, where operational readiness and personnel deployment were also assessed.

Sarawak Police Commissioner, Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah, and Sarawak General Operations Force (GOF) Brigade Commander, SAC Lim Bak Phai, were also present during the visit.
