BINTULU: Tanjong Batu Assemblyman, Johnny Pang Leong Ming, held a dialogue session at his service centre on Wednesday to address the ongoing electricity supply issues in his constituency.

The session brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Bintulu branch of the Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (SHEDA), Sarawak Energy Bhd (SEB), as well as members of the local community.

Pang said that the session aimed to resolve persistent electricity supply issues that have affected residents and developers in the area.

“A significant number of complaints regarding electricity supply had been received recently, and further investigation revealed that property developers were also affected.

“From what I’ve gathered, all parties involved are fulfilling their responsibilities.

“However, problems tend to arise or worsen due to ineffective communication or misunderstandings, which can lead to dissatisfaction and frustration,” he said during the dialogue session.

As such, he emphasised that open and honest discussions are crucial in identifying the root causes and finding effective long-term solutions.

“I’m not here to point fingers at any party. My role is to listen to everyone’s views.

“Only by being honest can we solve the problem, because if we don’t talk about it, it will never be resolved,” he stressed.

He also reiterated his commitment to ensuring that any arising issues are dealt with constructively and not allowed to persist.

He expressed satisfaction that the dialogue session had resulted in solution-oriented steps that were well-received by all in attendance.
