Mother’s Day as we know is celebrated annually every second Sunday of May as we observe the date concurrently with the United States of America thanks to the many campaigns supporting mums’ groups.
This celebration has spread globally with the lovely traditions families establish around it like giving flowers, presents and cards to their mothers, and other maternal figures such as grandmothers, and mothers-in-law.
Other traditions embrace family dinner and traditionally the mother being honoured with a cake.
Finally, what would Mother’s Day be like without hugs and kisses all around, even better yet with a box of chocolate in hand while you wish your mother the most wonderful day ahead.
