KUCHING: Entrepreneurs and business owners are encouraged to strengthen their understanding of digital taxation and prepare for Malaysia’s evolving tax landscape by participating in the upcoming ‘InnovateSarawak Workshop Series: Entrepreneurs and Digital Taxation’.

Organised by the Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) in collaboration with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB), the workshop will focus on MyInvois ePOS and the Importance of Tax Compliance Certificates in Accessing Government Procurement.

The one-day workshop will be held on Jul 27 from 9am to 3pm at TEGAS Digital Village.

The programme aims to provide entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and organisations with practical knowledge on the implementation of the national e-Invoice system and its role in improving business operations while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Participants will be introduced to the implementation of the e-Invoice framework and the use of the MyInvois Portal, which has been rolled out nationwide as part of Malaysia’s digital tax transformation initiative.

The workshop will also provide hands-on exposure to the MyInvois ePOS system, covering how it can be used to manage sales transactions, inventory and receipts more efficiently through an integrated digital platform.

In addition, participants will gain a better understanding of the importance of obtaining a Tax Compliance Certificate, which is increasingly becoming a key prerequisite for businesses seeking to participate in government procurement and tender opportunities.

The initiative is expected to help businesses improve regulatory compliance, enhance operational efficiency and strengthen their competitiveness as digital taxation becomes an integral part of Malaysia’s business ecosystem.

Entrepreneurs interested in attending are encouraged to register early as places are limited.
