KUCHING: DinkLoor emerged victorious in the local pickleball showdown, taking home RM800, medals, and a shiny trophy after an intense day of competition.
The Team Event Kejohanan Pickleball Piala Ketua Pemuda N8 Satok served up some intense pickleball action, drawing around 60 passionate pickleball enthusiasts to join the tournament.
The event truly reflected the sport’s growing appeal in Kuching.
Organised by the Ketua Pemuda Kampung No 4 Satok and the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Kampung No 4 Satok, the competition held yesterday (Feb 8), saw thrilling rallies, powerful smashes, and swift volleys from all participants.
As champions, DinkLoor dominated the court and claimed the top spot with RM800, medals, and a trophy.
The Runner-Up, EMBAT PALUK, fought hard and secured RM500 and medals, while BALL BUSTERS rounded out the podium in third place, earning RM300 and medals.
Meanwhile, HEMSENERGY placed fourth, receiving RM200 and medals for their efforts. LTL PICKLEBALL took fifth place with RM150, and THE DINKING CREW finished in sixth place, walking away with RM120.
The closing ceremony and prize presentation was officiated by Kampung No 4 Youth Chief Syam Mohd Ali.
The tournament was a smash hit, with its success highlighting the growing interest in pickleball in the city.
Participants competed in a fun, friendly atmosphere, showing just how much this exciting sport is catching on.
