KUCHING: As severe flooding continues to affect many parts of Sarawak and neighbouring Brunei, several parishes under the Diocese of Kuching (Sarawak and Negara Brunei Darussalam) have begun mobilising their members and resources to provide assistance.

Bishop of Kuching Datuk Danald Jude urged all parishes and parishioners to come together and offer practical aid, demonstrating love and care for those affected, stressing the need to prioritise areas where help is most urgently needed, such as Miri and Bintulu.

“We all can help, and together we can extend the love of Jesus Christ,” he said.

He also encouraged the public to contribute monetary assistance to the Diocesan Office via its Standard Chartered Bank account: 420156630069 (The Bishop of Kuching – The Diocese of Kuching Central Fund).

“Please mark your donation as ‘Flood Relief 25’ and send us your bank-in or transfer slip so we can issue a receipt,” he added.

“Thank you for your help, love, and care.”
