SIBURAN: The proposed construction of a new Siburan District Office, along with government residential quarters, reflects the Sarawak Government’s continued commitment to strengthening administrative infrastructure in the rapidly developing district.

State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki conducted a working visit to Siburan recently to inspect the proposed site for the project.

During a briefing and discussion session, several key matters were presented, including site suitability, development planning, the need for supporting facilities, and the project’s potential impact on administrative efficiency as well as the welfare of government personnel in the district.

The proposed development is particularly significant as Siburan was upgraded to a full-fledged district in 2021, a move that necessitates more comprehensive and systematic administrative facilities to support its growing responsibilities.

The new Siburan District Office is expected to become one of the landmarks of the district’s rapid development, in line with the Sarawak Government’s aspiration to further strengthen public service delivery at the grassroots level.
