KUCHING: Sarawak Patriots Association (SPA) had conducted an online survey to find out whether the people of Sarawak wants Datuk Seri Najib Razak back as their Prime Minister, and the result showed 90.5 per cent do not agree to it.
The online survey was done from June 28 till yesterday, 21, 550 had responded which 60 per cent represented the urban dwellers a 40 per cent are the sub-urban dwellers.
The survey did not cover the rural populations.
From the survey, out of the 21,580 respondents received, 90.5 per cent do not like to see Najib to be back as the prime minister, while 8.5 per cent of the respondents welcome Najib back as the prime minister.
“1.5 per cent answered others where the reasons mentioned were “Never, Never”, “Our country may be ruined”, and “We do not like him”.
In view of this, SPA argued that majority of Sarawakians does not Najib back as the prime minister.
According to an online news portal, it had quoted MP Batang Sadong Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri told a forum in Kuala Lumpur that Sarawakians want former Barisan Nasional chief Najib back as prime minister.
“If you talk to a normal Sarawakian, they want Najib back because he went to all the rural areas. I’m not trying to promote him, but he knew what Sarawak needed.”
