KUCHING: A doctor was found dead in a car at the Sarawak General Hospital car park on Tuesday.
According to a statement from the State Health Department, Dr Arif Husaini Abdul Rahim was found unconscious around 4pm.
The doctor who served as UD48 Medical Officer at the SGH Emergency Department was confirmed dead after being checked at the hospital.
“Dr Arif who is from Selangor had worked in Kuching for five years,” the statement revealed.
It was said that he was scheduled to report for duty in the afternoon but he did not turn up. Attempts to contact him were made but to no avail.
It was learned that he was feeling under the weather the day before he was found dead.
A post-mortem on his body was completed on Tuesday night and his remains were flown to Selangor at 7am yesterday.
