KUCHING: The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Stampin Branch is collaborating with KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital to organise a blood donation campaign on Saturday, August 9.
The initiative aims to help maintain adequate blood reserves at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Blood Bank.
It will be held at the lobby of KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital from 9am to 1pm, providing members of the public with the opportunity to contribute to a cause that can save countless lives. Donors will also receive a complimentary goodie bag as a token of appreciation.
“A single blood donation can save up to three lives. This campaign is not only about replenishing the blood supply but also about fostering a spirit of community care and responsibility. We strongly encourage everyone who is eligible to come forward and donate,” said MRC Stampin Branch in a press statement.
Blood from the campaign will be channelled directly to the SGH Blood Bank to ensure timely and life-saving transfusions for patients in need.
The organisers emphasised that sustaining adequate blood supply is critical, particularly during periods of higher demand.
