SIBU: The public is advised to not make any speculation regarding the suicide attempt in the fifth-floor corridor of one of the buildings, here on Tuesday.

Sibu District Police Chief, ACP Zulkipli Suhaili in a statement yesterday said that the Sibu police station received a call around 8.12 pm from a security guard.

“He (security guard) informed us that he had rescued a 13-year-old girl who was believed to have tried to jump from the fifth-floor corridor of the building.

Zulkipli said that later the girl was handed over to the police.

“Based on the information received, the case is investigated according to Section 309 of the Penal Code.

“The public is advised not to make any speculations about the incident,” he said.
