BAU: In a dazzling continuation of family pageant prestige, Fellicia Pamella, sister of Miss Tasik Biru, has claimed her own crown by winning the coveted title of Mrs Tasik Biru 2025.
Her victory has sparked excitement in the local community, celebrating the sisters’ shared dedication to beauty, advocacy, and empowerment across different stages of life.
Both siblings, of Berawan-Bidayuh mixed parentage and educators by profession, have made history with this rare double crowning, highlighting their remarkable poise and charisma while solidifying their family name in Tasik Biru’s pageantry legacy.
The 27-year-old teacher from Kampung Stenggang here, who majors in Music Education and teaches Bahasa Melayu, English and Pendidikan Jasmani dan Kesihatan (PJK) at Nanga Embuau School in Song, did not expect to win, saying that joining the pageant was just for fun.
“I did not expect to win. I feel proud to be able to win tonight.
“After winning, I plan to spend the prize money eating good food, which I haven’t had the chance to enjoy due to a strict diet programme before the pageant,” said Fellicia, who is also a mother to an eight-month-old baby girl.
Fellicia hopes the younger generation will embrace and cherish their rich culture and heritage, preserving it with pride before it fades into extinction.
“My hope and aspiration are for young people to appreciate our nature, Tasik Biru, as it is our heritage that we must preserve and conserve so that it does not become extinct,” she said, adding that she agreed with the slogan “Beauty with Brains”.
Mrs Tasik Biru is open to all married women, currently or previously married, aged between 25 and 55 years old from this dictrict who are in good physical and mental health.
