KUCHING: Public Works Department Sarawak (PWD Sarawak) Director, Dr Cassidy Morris, has been conferred the title of Adjunct Professor by the International College of Advanced Technology Sarawak (i-CATS).
Presented at a recent official ceremony, the title was conferred upon Cassidy in honour of his substantial contributions to engineering and infrastructure development within the state.
“Throughout his career, Dr Cassidy has demonstrated outstanding leadership in planning and implementing various mega projects that have brought substantial impact to the people, in line with the vision of JKR Sarawak as the leading engineering agency in the state, consistent with its slogan ‘We Build For You’.
“This conferment not only reflects an individual achievement but also symbolises appreciation for the continuous efforts of PWD Sarawak in developing human capital and advancing engineering technology in the state,” said the department in a statement posted on Facebook.
Meanwhile, Cassidy expressed his gratitude to i-CATS for the recognition, and reaffirmed his commitment to continue contributing his expertise and experience towards strengthening collaboration between educational institutions and government technical agencies for a sustainable engineering future in Sarawak.
