KUCHING: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin witnessed the handover of the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) drainage upgrade project on Wednesday (Nov 19).
The Letter of Award for upgrading drainage at Jalan Kuching Ranger Depot, in front of SFC, Wisma Lestari, was officially handed to Evertech Engineering under Public Work Department (JKR) supervision.
“The upgraded drainage system is crucial to addressing long-standing flash flood and water flow issues, especially during heavy rain,” said Yap.
“I am committed to ensuring my RTP allocations benefit residents and road users.”
The RM250,000 project, part of Yap’s 2024 RTP allocation, will commence immediately following JKR’s bill of quantities, scope of works, and project schedule.
Yap said infrastructure projects will continue to be prioritised throughout the constituency to boost public safety, convenience, and overall community welfare.
