SONG: A local man had a brush with danger on Sunday morning (Aug 3) after his car skidded and crashed near the traffic light junction along Jalan Song-Kapit.
The accident happened at around 8:15 am with the driver managing to exit the vehicle unscathed before rescuers arrived.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Song station were dispatched to the scene following an emergency call.
Upon arrival, the team confirmed the accident involved a single vehicle and that the driver was unharmed.
No rescue operation was necessary, but they assisted the driver in relocating his vehicle to the roadside to avoid obstructing traffic.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team departed to their station at 8:40 am.
