MIRI: A man was found dead in a van at Jalan Miri-Bypass here yesterday afternoon. The 54-year-old native from Sandakan, Sabah, was found unconscious by road users at the driver’s seat in the van around 2.30pm.
It is understood that before the incident the victim was said to be heading to Riam from Pujut Corner. According to sources, the victim was suspected of having a heart attack upon arrival at the location where the van he was driving stopped in middle of the road.
“The paramedic team at the location confirmed the victim had died. “The victim’s body was then handed over to the police for further action,” he said. He said the victim’s body was sent to Miri Hospital for further action.
