SIBU: A 54-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a seven-vehicle collision along Jalan Pahlawan here last night (Mar 12).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from the Sungai Merah station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call at 9.24pm.
Upon arrival, they found all the occupants had exited their vehicles with assistance from members of the public, except for the driver of a Perodua Bezza.
“The victim was not trapped but had difficulty getting out of the vehicle due to its position following the impact.
“Firefighters assisted in removing the man from the car before transporting him to hospital using the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle for further treatment,” said a Bomba spokesperson.
Firefighters later cleared debris from the road to ensure the route was safe before concluding the operation at about 10.39pm.
