BINTULU: A local man was injured after his car skidded and crashed along Jalan Kidurong early this morning (Jul 20).
The accident happened at around 6.45 am when the Perodua Viva swerved out of control near the junction leading to Kemena Pacific Hospital.
The 26-year-old driver was pulled from the wreckage by passers-by before emergency personnel arrived at the scene.
Firefighters from Kidurong station were dispatched to the scene, about 9km away, following an emergency call.
The injured victim was handed over to paramedics for initial treatment before being taken to the hospital for further care. The extent of his injuries was not known.
Firefighters carried out flushing works at the scene before wrapping up the operation at 7.05 am.
