SIBU: A motorist sustained injuries after his pick-up truck skidded and crashed into a tree along Jalan Au Yong Selatan today (Oct 14).
The accident, which happened at around 3.30pm, left the 24-year-old man trapped in his vehicle with head and facial injuries.
Firefighters from Sungai Merah station were promptly dispatched to the scene, about 6km away, following an emergency call.
Upon arrival, the team used rescue tools to extricate the victim from the wrecked vehicle.
The injured driver was then handed over to paramedics for initial treatment before being transported to the hospital for further care.
