LUNDU: A local man was left injured after his pick-up truck laden with oil palm fruits, crashed into a ditch along Jalan Lundu-Kuching yesterday (Nov 29).
Firefighters from Lundu station was promptly dispatched to the scene near the Sempadi junction after they received a distress call around 3 pm.
When the team arrived at the scene, they saw the driver pinned to his seat, but he was rescued out of the vehicle by passers-by.
Initial treatment was given to the victim who sustained injuries to his and right hand. He was later taken to the hospital for further treatment.
