LUBOK ANTU: Police have issued a summons to a driver for overtaking at a double line along Kilometre 19 Jalan Lubok Antu-Sri Aman after a dashcam video of the incident went viral on social media.
Lubok Antu Police Chief, DSP Pricha Azin, said the Perodua Bezza was recorded overtaking dangerously at about 1.57 pm on February 5.
He said police detected the video after it was uploaded on the Facebook page Sarawak Roads Update.
“The driver came to the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division office at about 9.44 am today (Feb 6) to assist with investigations and admitted to committing the offence,” he said in a statement.
A police summons (PDRM K257) was issued for overtaking at a double line.
Police advised road users to comply with traffic regulations and prioritise safety at all times.
