BINTANGOR: A local man sustained minor injuries after his lorry laden with oil palm fruits crashed along Jalan Tanjung Genting here this morning.
The accident happened at around 8:50 am when the lorry is believed to have skidded out of control and overturned to its side.
Fortunately, the victim had already been rescued by members of the public before first responders arrived.
He was later transported to the hospital by paramedics for further treatment.
Firefighters from the Bintangor station did not carry out any rescue operations as the victim was already removed from the vehicle.
They only conducted monitoring and post-accident clearing works at the scene, located about 13 kilometres away from their station.
Once the situation was safe, the team wrapped up operation around 9:20 am.
