BAU: A local man sustained minor chest injuries after his car crashed along Jalan Siniawan-Kuching early this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that firefighters from Bau station were dispatched to the scene, about 12km away, after receiving a distress call at 12.45 am.
Upon arrival, the team discovered a Perodua Myvi crashed at the roadside with its driver trapped in his seat.
Extrication works were carried out to free the 37-year-old victim using rescue tools.
The victim, who sustained chest injuries, was then handed over to the paramedics for initial treatment before being taken to Bau Hospital for further care.
