KUCHING: Two local men sustained minor injuries in an accident along Jalan Ban Hock here early Sunday morning.
The accident happened at around 3:10 am when their Honda car skidded off the road and crashed into the bushes.
One of the victims, a 21-year-old, managed to exit the vehicle on his own, while his friend, a 22-year-old, was still inside.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Padungan station were dispatched to the scene following an emergency call.
Upon arrival, they assisted the second victim out of the vehicle and administered initial treatment for both victims at the scene.
They were later taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team wrapped up the operation at 3:35 am.
