TATAU: A man was seriously injured when his car skidded and crashed into a signpost by the roadside near Rumah Muluk Semanol, Jalan Tatau-Bintulu, yesterday (Feb 11).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from the Tatau station were dispatched to the scene, about 18km away, after receiving a distress call at 8.38 am.
Upon arrival, they found that the 29-year-old driver had already been rescued from the wrecked Perodua Axia by members of the public.
The team provided preliminary treatment before taking him to the Tatau health clinic for further care.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the rescue operation ended at 9.22 am.
