KUCHING: The Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri 2025 event, hosted by the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar, and his wife, Datuk Fatimah Iskandar, was filled with warmth and festivity.
The celebration took place today at the DUN Complex.
The event was graced by the presence of Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.
Also in attendance were Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg along with Deputy Premiers, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, Sarawak Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, as well as other state leaders.
The event commenced with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony, marking the festive spirit of Syawal in an atmosphere of unity and harmony.
A souvenir presentation was also held as a gesture of appreciation for Abang Johari.
Guests were treated to a delectable spread of traditional Hari Raya delicacies, including ‘lemang’, ‘ketupat’, ‘rendang’, and an array of local ‘kuih’, enhancing the joyous celebration.
Adding to the festivities, attendees enjoyed vibrant musical and cultural dance performances, showcasing Sarawak’s rich cultural diversity.
