BAU: Two local men have been arrested on suspicion of drug abuse during an operation conducted by the district’s Narcotics Crime Investigation Division (NCID) yesterday (Nov 4).
Bau district police chief Supt Mohd Haide A Rahman said the operation was conducted between 1.50 pm and 4.30 pm at Kampung Duyoh Serikin and Kampung Skiat Baru.
“Both suspects, aged between 33 and 34, were detained after initial urine tests showed they were positive for drugs,” he said in a statement.
He added that both men are being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Mohd Haide reminded the public that police will take firm action against anyone involved in drug abuse and urged the community to provide information related to drug activities.
