Duo caught red-handed during house break-in in Kota Samarahan

KOTA SAMARAHAN: A teenage boy and a young man were caught red-handed while ransacking a house at Lorong 4, Jalan Jambori, here yesterday (Mar 23).

Kota Samarahan police chief Supt Damataries Lautin said a patrol team was dispatched at around 8.15 am following a tip-off from the homeowner.

“The owner reported that his house had been broken into and the suspects were still inside.

“The team arrived swiftly and apprehended the suspects, who were in the midst of rummaging through belongings inside the house,” he said.

Upon questioning, the suspects, aged 14 and 21, admitted to breaking in through a window using a crowbar.

Also seized was a crowbar and a motorcycle found parked along Lorong 4.

Damataries stated that the suspects and seizures were taken to the Kota Samarahan district police headquarters (IPD) for further action.

Should there be any crime that occurs in the district, the community is urged to contact Kota Samarahan police operations centre at 082-662300 for immediate action.
