PADAWAN: Two men, including an Indonesian national, were arrested after police seized drugs and found both suspects tested positive during a raid in the Batu Kawa area here yesterday (Apr 6).
Padawan police chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi said the suspects, aged 23 and 27, were detained at about noon by personnel from the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division.
“A small transparent plastic packet containing crystalline substances believed to be syabu was seized during the operation.
“Urine tests conducted on both suspects returned positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine and benzodiazepine,” he said in a statement.
He added that the suspects are being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
