Duo nabbed for trespassing, fishing at temple pond

BAU: Two local men were arrested by police for allegedly trespassing and fishing at a temple pond located along Jalan Bau-Serikin.

The suspects, aged 18 and 41, were detained on July 25 at 5.20 pm by a team from the Bau District Police Headquarters, following a report lodged on July 21.

Bau District police chief DSR Dr Daram Ruer said the suspects were taken to the police station for further investigation under Section 447 of the Penal Code.

“A background check revealed that one of the suspects has a prior record related to drug abuse,” he said in a statement.

Dr Daram also urged the public to report any similar incidents by contacting the Bau District Police Headquarters at 082-763311.
